After taking a break for the olympics and to reorganise the team, its back to it.
We've finally got a working prototype and i've begun working on extra animations for the new build. Heres the first of them. Hope to have some videos of the actual game in motion sometime next week!

Cottages
Mails gotta get delivered somewhere right? Testing out some houses/cottages. Also trying out different blur effects on certain layers to make it easier to see what's going on and to give some depth of field!
I'm currently going with interactive objects all outlined, to distinguish them. I think that's settled.

Week 3 Progress Update
Just throwing up some of the new stuff for this week.
I am continuing with creating odd bits of foliage to populate world/level 1, which involves starting the incline/decline sections of the level too. Although exactly how it will be positioned will be determined by the game. We'll need to wait for a playable build to start tweaking level pieces. I've also popped in some early obstacles too, in this case its a gate and a stream.
Been a bit busy this week finishing up a painting for a friend as well as doing a website and graphics for my karate club, but next week should be more productive!

Early Animations
Walk and Skip and Stumble, so far. Still gonna be tweaked for the final game. But they will do for now!
And we're off
Right for the initial post ill throw up a bunch of stuff thats already complete since i should have started this blog two weeks ago. Forgive my tardiness.
Here are some mockup screens and images of our main character and the background for what will be level/world 1.
The game itself is relatively simple, it is designed with the mobile market in mind. The character is possessed by the post ghost, which resides in the hat, and you have no control over the character save for jump, which is done by tapping the hat. The girl is otherwise, on auto-run. The challenge in the game will be clearing the path for her using various touch controls (swipe, pull etc..) All this whilst jumping her over obstacles and ensuring her complete quota of post is delivered in a timely fashion. Hurrah!
Following here is the final sprite design and a couple of mockup screens. Ill show the actual game build later...

Introduction
This blog is to chart the ongoing progress for our indie game, Post Ghost.
I expect about 3 people to read this thing. However for the sake of it, my name is Lachlan Bastiaen, and I do all the art for the game. We also have "Party" Barry Smith and Stuart Archibald as programmers, working with the Unity engine.
Over the months i'll throw up art and screengrabs of our progress more to keep myself and the team in check, and to map out where we are going and *try* to stay on schedule.
In any case, enjoy!
